Warning of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology to farmers
The Department of Agricultural Meteorology of the National Meteorological Organization warned the farmers about the intrusion of the rainy system and the possibility of dangers. Take necessary measures to prevent damage to agricultural products and tools. According to this warning, there is a system with heavy rain from the beginning of Wednesday, January 14th to the end of Thursday, January 15th. For Wednesday, rain will fall in the southern regions with lightning and temporary strong wind and the possibility of hail. Heavy snowfall is expected in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad and the northern half of Bushehr. On Thursday, January 15, damage to agricultural products and tools is predicted for the provinces of Ilam, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Fars, Kermanshah and the western half of Isfahan. Based on this, the country's meteorological organization advised farmers; to prevent damage to agricultural products and tools; Draining and cleaning the water path of gardens and fields due to the occurrence of rainfall, not doing irrigation, foliar spraying and spraying due to the occurrence of rainfall, irrigation in saline soils after the occurrence of rain or snow in order to wash the salt from the root environment, speeding up the transfer of products Harvested in sheltered places (especially greenhouses), protecting fields and gardens from hail, controlling temperature and humidity in warehouses due to the increase in humidity, in order to prevent the damage of fungal diseases, keeping the windows of greenhouses closed during rain, not using rainwater. For livestock, cleaning, adjusting and controlling the water inlet and outlet valves of the pools, preventing muddy water from entering the pools due to the high volume of runoff and flooding of the rivers, refraining the herdsmen and nomads from crossing the heights, stopping on the banks of the rivers and canals, insulation and protect the beehives against rain and auxiliary feeding of the colonies, do not graze livestock in the pastures and move the livestock to a covered place when it rains, do not drive agricultural machinery on the fields.
