The area under cultivation of organic agricultural products in the European Union has increased by 56% in the last 8 years. The European Commission's statistics office (Eurostat) said in a report that the area under organic crops in the 27-nation bloc rose from 9.5 million hectares in 2012 to 14.7 million hectares in 2020. According to the report, the total area under organic crops in the EU during 2020 was equivalent to 9.1% of the total agricultural land registered in the EU. The report shows that the pیورواستاتroportion of agricultural land used to produce organic agricultural products in the other 26 EU member states has increased over the past nine years, except for Poland.
