Organic farming standards, definition and classification
Organic farming standards are the rules for the production of organic products. These standards determine the production processes of biological products according to the ecological and social conditions of the place of production. Standards exist in several scales, which are presented below in a simple classification.
International standards are bio-agricultural standards set by international organizations and adopted by domestic legislators. International standards include the Codex Alimentarius Commission and guidelines for the production, labeling and marketing of natural biological products.
